Dentures in Adelaide
Restoring Function, Comfort & Confidence
Tooth loss affects more than appearance: it impacts chewing, speech and long-term facial support. Dentures (false teeth) are custom-made, removable prosthetics that replace single or multiple missing teeth, and remain one of the most cost-effective options for tooth replacement.
We provide complete, partial, immediate and implant-supported dentures, each planned around your gum tissue, bone health and long-term oral stability. Our process includes a full assessment, precision impressions, a trial fitting and all the adjustment appointments you need.

The Adjustment Period: What to Expect
Adapting to dentures is gradual. It’s common to experience:
Minor soreness or irritation
Increased saliva at first
Difficulty with certain speech sounds
Changes in chewing efficiency
Realistic expectations: chewing with dentures differs from natural teeth or implants, and hard or sticky foods may take practice. The jawbone naturally changes after tooth loss, so dentures may need relining or replacement over time, and regular professional reviews are essential.

Implant-Supported Dentures
Implants integrate with the jawbone and connect to precision attachments inside the denture, so it no longer relies on suction or adhesive.
Greater stability
Less movement when eating and speaking.
Improved chewing
Stronger, more confident chewing.
Reduced bone loss
Implants help slow bone resorption where they’re placed.
Suitability depends on bone volume and general health, which we assess with CBCT imaging. You’ll receive a written, itemised plan covering implant placement and denture fabrication before you begin.

Denture Care & Maintenance
Daily care is essential for comfort, longevity and healthy gums. Poor fit is the most common cause of denture problems, so early review prevents complications.
Clean Daily
Rinse after meals and clean daily with a soft brush and non-abrasive cleanser. Regular toothpaste scratches dentures over time.
Remove Overnight
Take dentures out each night to let your gums rest, and store them in water or a soaking solution.
Regular Check-ups
Professional reviews keep your dentures fitting well and your mouth healthy.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to get dentures?
Several weeks, depending on extractions and complexity. Immediate dentures can be fitted on the day of extraction but need adjusting as you heal.
Can I eat normally with dentures?
Chewing improves with practice, though some foods may need adapting to.
What’s the difference between partial and full dentures?
A partial denture replaces some teeth; a full denture replaces all the teeth in an arch.
Are implant-supported dentures worth it?
They offer much better stability and help reduce bone loss. Suitability depends on bone volume and health.
How much do dentures cost?
Fees depend on the type of denture, the number of teeth replaced, extractions and any relining. We provide a clear written estimate with no surprises.
