Night Guards (Splints)
Splints are protective appliances often used for night-time grinding or clenching (bruxism). Many people who grind or clench experience jaw soreness, tension or headaches. A splint cushions and stabilises the bite, reducing strain on the teeth and jaw joints. Different designs are available depending on your bite, comfort and clinical needs.
Can prevent tooth wear
A protective barrier between your upper and lower teeth helps reduce grinding-related enamel damage while you sleep.
Can ease jaw pain & headaches
By relieving tension in the jaw muscles and TMJ, splints can reduce discomfort and associated headaches.
Can improve sleep quality
With less grinding and clenching, sleep interruptions often decrease.

Sports Mouthguards
Custom sports mouthguards are recommended for anyone playing contact or high-impact sports such as AFL, boxing, hockey, roller derby, rugby league and union, soccer and water polo, where collisions can chip, fracture or knock out teeth.
A custom-made guard provides a cushioning barrier that absorbs impact and significantly reduces the chance of dental injury. They come in a wide range of colours and designs.

Lowers the likelihood of chipped, fractured or knocked-out teeth.
Protects soft tissue
Helps reduce cuts and bruising to lips, cheeks, gums and tongue.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a mouthguard or night splint cost?
The cost includes the impressions or digital scans, clinical time, materials and fabrication. Contact our team for pricing tailored to your needs.
Are custom mouthguards better than shop-bought ones?
Yes. A custom guard is made from a scan or impression of your teeth, so it fits accurately, stays in place and is more comfortable to wear.
Do I need a night splint?
If you wake with jaw soreness or headaches, or your dentist notices wear on your teeth, a splint may help. We’ll assess your bite and recommend the right design.
