Book a consultationWhen Should Wisdom Teeth Be Removed?
Removal is often recommended when:
The teeth are impacted or growing sideways
There isn’t enough space in the jaw
They’re causing crowding, pain or swelling
Their position makes cleaning difficult
Cysts or other pathology are seen on X-rays
Your dentist will assess the tooth’s position, root shape and proximity to nerves or sinuses to determine the safest approach. Wisdom teeth only need removing if they’re impacted, painful, infected, damaging other teeth or affecting your bite.
